I don't know how many times I've purchased digital and hard copy versions this of this record but I will gladly do so many more times if and when I have to. Had the chance of opening for these guys a few years back when they were playing as Never Young, except I had no idea they were the dudes from Calc until mid-conversion with them. Great dudes and great fucking tunes.

There's a clear inheritance from bands like Saetia & Envy here, but Frameworks throws in a whole lot more: a blast beat here, a little ambient horn there. This is a very polished and evocative EP, the instant soundtrack to whatever time period in which you first discovered it.
